Rhythm Mantis Sound is a satellite studio located just west of Charlottesville, VA. The studio was built for professional use in the early 1980′s, complete with wired walls and substantial sound insulation. It has been in and out of use by several different artists since that time. Prior to my work reviving the studio over the past few years, its last boost of action was around an album Lauren Hoffman recorded here called From The Blue House.
A high-end mobile rig makes on site recording an option if you or your band has a space that you prefer to record in. For the Buzzard Hollow Boys first record, we tracked in a woodworking shop. Good things can result from musicians playing in a room they know/feel comfortable in. Send me an email with more information about your band/location/space if this is of interest.

Mic collection includes Coles, BeyerDynamic, AKG, Shure, Sennheiser, Rode, and Neumann. Monitors include Dynaudio and NS10′s. A lot of funky instruments in house.
